9 tactics to overcome the unpleasant parts of triathlon

A pessimistic triathlete will always stop at the unpleasant aspects of the sport. Everyone else knows they exist, but focus their experiences on the thrill of triathlon to enjoy the benefits of sport.

If you are more like a half-empty glass triathlete that generates negative thoughts about your efforts, then fill your water bottle using these nine tactics to overcome the dirty parts of the triathlon.

  1. Realize that an unfortunate day of triathlon surpasses a great day of fishing!

  2. Learn the subtle parts of triathlon, such as your personalized support structure, teamwork, training, discipline, fine-tuning nutrition and career selection strategy to experience the best that sport offers participants. Apply knowledge frequently to make the most of the sport.

  3. Recognize pain, setbacks, awkward positions, travel delays and unexpected events that occur in triathlon, but showing determination in sport can be used to address similar problems elsewhere.

  4. Accept "suck" as part of success, complaining is not allowed.

  5. Learn from disappointments by modifying actions, demonstrating adaptability and delivering better results in future careers.

  6. Hone required complementary soft work skills, such as building relationships, managing disagreements and leveraging networks. Try different approaches in a triathlon environment to determine the optimal methods. Any far-fetched approach can be modified with a minimum of collateral consequences that can be much worse to develop in the workplace when a mistake would be a fatal race.

  7. Adopt the discipline of challenging workouts that produce strong minds, emotional leveling and large bodies.

  8. Recognize that the self-inflated pain of a hard effort is temporary and your accomplishments last a lifetime of relaxing memories.

  9. Celebrate that expensive triathlons require some really great equipment and can attract you to pretty cool and exotic places around the world.

Running in triathlons does not create a self-induced and over-the-counter drug that keeps people happy all the time. As a triathlete, your mood will fluctuate throughout the day and during your training routine from one race to another. You will qualify yourself on excellent training days only for this invincible side, while distance, speed or that challenging combination on race days will humiliate all triathletes, but the mythical elite to question about possible self-inflicted abuse. In these unfortunate days of tri-training or running, climb yourself and bathe on the sunny side of the sport. Think about the achievements, the low body weight, the speed of the body and the fun of a successful trip. You are the hero of your chosen sport and probably for others in your family, among your friends and others on your team.

Challenge yourself to think outside the micro aspects of dirty work, sports, family and social content. Think of the best to appreciate the macro enjoyment, fulfillment and achievements of triathlon in life.
